9.05-9.20am The children take part in dough disco or Wake Up Shake Up. Dough Disco focuses on stretching and squeezing play-dough to songs and music to make their hands and fingers strong and develop fine motor skills.

10.10-10.30am It's tidy up time followed by a healthy snack, children choose a piece of fruit and water or milk. During this time we will focus on either literacy, rhyme time or story time.

At 10.30am we go outside to play in our lovely outdoor area. Activities outside are changed and enhanced each week and include: water play, throwing and catching with balls and bean bags, building with large wooden construction, riding bikes and scooters.

At 11.10am The children wash their hands ready for lunch/snack time. During this time before lunch/ snack time we focus on either Maths, Rhyme time or Story time.

11.30am We all go the the lunch hall together and those children going home choose a snack whilst they wait for parents. Children staying all day will join reception for a hot meal or have their own packed lunch.

Number Rhyme of the Week: Five Little Men in a Flying Saucer

Reading is a vital part of a child's development. It helps with children's communication and language development, their literacy skills as well as their social skills. We recommend that you read with your child daily! This could be a fun, relaxing part of your bedtime routine.
