Year 5 are taught by Mrs Craig (Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday) and Mrs McDiarmid (Thursday & Friday) with Miss Carpenter to support us in our learning.
Our topics for the Autumn Term:
English - The Highwayman and The Little Matchstick Girl
Maths - number & place value
Geography - What is life like in the Amazon?
Science - Earth and Space
Art - Local landscapes
PE will be on a Friday - children will need to bring their kits on that day only.
Spellings will be put on our page on a Tuesday to be revised for a test the following Monday.

Y5 got robbed... (not really, #anythingforwriting)
As the introduction to Y5's topic of journalistic writing, the classroom was ransacked to make it look like a robbery had taken place. The children were outraged. This was the perfect hook into the topic which is allowing the children to become mini-reporters.
